After School Program Funding
The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough is proud to announce the receipt of a $10,000 gift from RBC Foundation in support of its after-school program. The new program will provide a structured activity based program and promote the social development of children between the ages of 6 and 12. There is a growing need for after-school programs in the community and the gift from RBC Foundation will provide start-up costs for the new program. “RBC considers its long-term support of education not only to be an investment in communities, but also in Canada's future,†said Greg Belanger, RBC Regional Vice President Commercial Markets. “Programs such as the one offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough ensure children have the opportunity to continue learning in a safe environment after the school day ends. We feel this investment will make a real difference in our community."
