Hawaiian spirit was in full bloom at Mapleridge Senior’s Recreation Centre. The themed evening included in-house entertainment and a bright injection of colour with guests clad in their flowered designs and strutting their stuff. Dinner was all Hawaiian themed with shisk-a-bobs, and tropical fruits featured along with fresh salads. There was a prize for most original Hawaiian outfit but judges were challenged in selecting just one from the well attended event. Mapleridge Senior Recreation Centre is a club providing friendship, programs and opportunities for those 50 plus to enjoy social, educational and recreational activities.
