2008 December > Women - Get Ready to Rock!

This Rock Camp was designed specifically for women to explore their secret desire to get up on stage and rock out. It gave women a chance to pick up an instrument and see how the pros do it. Participants took part in basic instruction for instruments such as electric guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. Other workshops over the two day weekend included song writing, vocals and live sound technology. Women were divided into bands and had to perform their own original song by the end of the weekend. Organizers of the Rock Camp encouraged all women, 19 to 99 to join them for the weekend, no matter what musical ability they have. They made it a safe environment to just have fun and explore the rocker within. All the proceeds went toward their summer rock camp for girls.
