Lakefield Lions Fundraiser
The Lakefield Lions were the first to contribute when the campaign to build the Morton Community Medical Centre began. Their pledge of $100,000 is raised through various events and their annual dinner and auction is a major part of that. We attended the 2010 Dinner & Auction held at Lakefield College School on Feb 13th were 110 guests came out to support this active club. Ticket sales, silent and live auction items and raffles raised another $10,000 for the Lakefield Lions and the causes they support. It was noted that these events are not possible without the generous support of the local merchants and contributions were greatly appreciated by the organizing committee.
